Resistance training for the soul.

Ohm Fit is a program for people who live with chronic pain, stress and/or fatigue.

The Ohm Fit Program has been developed by Sasha Wray (Occupational Therapist) to provide a safe, accessible and supportive space for people to learn the Ohm Fit skills.

Ohm Fit builds meaning in life through mind, body and breath awareness.

Ohm Fit teaches acceptance and commitment therapy principles, mindful movement, meditation and self awareness.

Each participant is given access to an “Ohm Fit site” which has information about the modules and extra resources for self directed and self paced practice.

You can dip your toes in or dive deeper to a topic whenever you want.

Each class follows the same format. We begin with a brief introduction to the topic or focus of the day, then a mindful movement practice,  followed by our meditation /relaxation practice and end with reflection and final discussion.

Who can attend Ohm Fit?

This online group class is for anyone who has persistent pain or fatigue. This includes those with:

  • Chronic pain from inflammatory or neural causes
  • Complex Pain
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)
  • Long COVID
  • POTS
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Lupus

Why is it called Ohm Fit?

Ohm Fit helps you to be more of who you are by building the “muscles” for mind, body and soul awareness.

It is well appreciated that physical exercise is essential for good health. What about training for your ‘awareness muscles’? And what happens if you can’t exercise?

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends 30 minutes a day exercise 3 x week for health. The effects of exercise continue through the day and week. Mindfulness and relaxation training is just the same.

This is resistance training for the Soul.

How to attend Ohm Fit Class

If you have persistent pain and/or fatigue you are welcome to join the class after an initial assessment with one of our therapists. We follow an 8 week rolling program.

It’s best to sign up for the whole program because you’ll get the most out of it.

Booking in for the 8 modules will give you access the Ohm Fit Site which includes:

  • information on each module : Beginners Mind, Being Present, Sitting with discomfort, Opening up, Values and Meaningfulness, Committed action, Pure awareness, Integration
  • recordings of  sessions
  • extra strategies, info and inspirations on all things Ohm Fit
  • 24/7 access to the private online community to ask questions and share experiences.
