Fully reimbursed HCF GLA:D offer provides you with an evidenced based education & exercise program helping people manage pain, stay active and live better lives with osteoarthritis.
To support HCF members who may be experiencing symptoms of osteoarthritis, they’re running a 12 month pilot for ELIGIBLE HCF members to participate in the GLA:D program and receive a full reimbursement from HCF for the costs paid in participating in the program.
The GLA:D (Goodlife with osteo-Arthritis: Denmark) program will be funded as a Chronic Disease Management Program (CDMP) and no amounts will be deducted from a member’s extras limits. How do I get started with the HCF fully reimbursed GLA:D program?
If you meet the above criteria, contact us today. Before starting the program we will need to contact HCF to confirm your eligibility. Once HCF has approved the program, you will then be able to book your initial GLA:D assessment with Rushil Shah, our GLA:D certified instructor.
If you are unsure of your eligibility, you can book a consultation with Rushil Shah and he will be able to accurately assess if you meet the clinical eligibility and then advise you on the best course of action. Please note that prior to approval from HCF, you will need to pay for this appointment upfront. You can then seek reimbursement from HCF afterward.
What to expect during the program?
Once your eligibility is confirmed with HCF and you complete your initial assessment with Rushil, you will then be registered with GLA:D Australia. GLA:D Australia, will contact you to fill out survey information to help indicate your progress in the program. You will complete 12 supervised 60 minute exercise sessions over 6 weeks, x2 education sessions and a follow up assessment to review your progress with Rushil and he will offer advice on what to do next.
